About

We are two career women who have embarked on this challenging but welcome detour into motherhood . We are certainly no strangers to working around the clock, and making decisions under pressure. In the office, we rely on our wits, a lot of caffeine, and exacting standards.

As new mothers, we found caffeine only got us so far, our wits threatened to abandon us, and standards felt like a thing of the past. We needed the business brief on motherhood and babies.

We set about researching and summarising what we wanted to know: the essentials that would help new parents or parents-to-be make the transition from board room to baby room, office to nursery, and company gym to playground.

We have learned along the way to embrace the transformation from “Office Queen’ to ‘Queen Mum’. Pram-pushing can be just as rewarding as jet-setting; motherhood need not be void of style; and there is nothing like a baby to set priorities straight.

The blog entries that follow are short. This is not the definitive guide to babies. In fact, we have tried to avoid the medical realm altogether and stuck to the purely practical. Our aim is simple: we want to share with other mothers like us the key facts or coping strategies at a glance.
